Hana Ricna is our head coach. Hana won the Silver Medal at the 1984 Olomuc Olympic Games
Hana Ricna competed in the 1988 Seoul Games, and holds two World Championship medals from the 1983 and 1985 World Championship competitions. Hana is a Brevet Judge, which is the highest level of judging certification in gymnastics. Hana hails from Czechoslovakia, and is exceptionally happy to have made her home in Rhode Island where she can help aspiring gymnasts in a fun, healthy, and inspiring environment.
Hana was the Czechoslovakian shining star throughout the 70′s and 80′s. She competed throughout the world being top ranked during her career.
She competed in the alternate games during the 80′s Olympic boycott and in the ’88 Olympics. Her gymnastics knowledge and coaching ability is unmatched.
Vladimir Mureso is our girls’ coach,
and is from Czechoslovakia. (Czech Republic)
Vladimir has competed in well over 20 European and World Gymnastics Championships, and has not only coached such notable champions on the world stage as Tomas Tvrdy, Martin Motlidva, Monica Zabrzova, and Daniela Bartova, but he also has coached Michelle Kwan in the 1998 Olympics and 2001 World Championships, and Radka Kovarikova and Rene Novotny who took 4th in the 1994 Olympics for Pair Figure Skating.
Finally, Vladimir is both certified and has served as a Brevet and World Class Judge. Vladimir’s amazing optimism has a positive effect on everybody he comes in contact with, and our students love to work with him!
Vasili Vinogradov is our boys’ coach,
and has had stunning success
working with David Jessen who recently took the Silver Medal in the 2012 Junior Olympics and who placed on the USA National Gymnastics Team this year, marking an amazing debut into elite gymnastics.
As an athlete, he has had many championships during his career competing with the Soviet Union. He has coached many athletes to championships. His understanding of the sport and his caring attitude helps young athletes excel to the highest level. He is also the highest rated International Brevet Judge and he has officiated at many international meets most recently in December 2011 in Europe. His unparalleled knowledge of gymnastics coupled with his love for the sport makes Vasili one of the top coaches.
